To repair a basketball valve leak, you can follow the following systems

At first, submerge the basketball in a tub of water. There is always air trapped between the panel and the bladder. Rotate the ball and watch the exiting air bubbles to indicate the leak source. Now dry the area off and mark the leak with pencil or tape. Heat the tip of a dull knife over an open flame. Swipe the hot knife across the leak until the vinyl begins to melt. Allow the vinyl to cool and solidify for at least five minutes. Push an inflator needle into the valve hole. Now, re-inflate the ball gently by using a hand pump. Fill the ball to its recommended pressure setting. Do not over-inflate.
