- A bucket.
- Dishwashing liquid used for cleaning light dirt.
- White Vinegar used for cleaning moderate or medium dirt. White Vinegar is cheap and environmentally safe for use.
- Soft-bristled brush for scrubbing.
- Household Ammonia difficult or dirt cleaner.
- Bleach is used for cleaning tough or moderate dirt.
- A dishwasher is optional. Cleaning with a dishwasher is not necessary.
- If you have many balls, you can use a dishwasher for cleaning the shots within a short time.
- Towel for drying.
Cleaning light dirt or dry dirt from the golf ball
Cleaning mud and a little dust from the golf balls at home, you can rinse them and then dry them with a towel. If this is not enough to make your ball clean, then you need to clean it manually. Steps are as follows-
- Fill a bucket with lukewarm water.
- The water must be as much that all the golf balls can quickly submerge into the water.

- Dry the balls with a soft towel and put them in the sun for drying correctly and then store them.
Cleaning paint or marker spot
If you buy old golf balls, then you will find some marker spots in it. The above three methods are for cleaning dirt. For removing paint from golf balls, you need to follow a different process. The method is-
- Take some nail paint remover (acetone-based) and dip cotton into the remover.
- Scrub over the paint with the cotton smoothly and carefully.
- Then take some water and add some dish soap liquid into the water.
- Dip the balls into the water for a few minutes.
- Then take off the balls and rinse with water.
- Dry them with a soft towel.
Many balls come to the market with refurbishment quality. It means you can change the outer part of the ball when it becomes too dirty or damaged.
Things to remember
- Try to avoid acidic particles for cleaning because the cutting element can damage your balls.
