How many teams are there in the NBA?

A question arise in mind of a basketball game fan and that is "How many teams are there in the NBA?" And "when NBA Established?" The National Basketball Association or NBA is a men's professional league. The league founded in New York City on June 6, 1946. In the United States and Canada, it is one of the four major professional sports leagues. The NBA originated with 11 teams. A sequence of team expansions and reductions the NBA consists of 30 units. The United States home 29 teams, and another one is in Canada. The current divisional alignment introduced in the 2004-05 season. Now there are 30 teams in the NBA. The league divided into two conferences. One is the Eastern Conference, and the other is the Western Conference. The Eastern Conference has three divisions. They are called the Atlantic, Central, and Southeast. Again the Western Conference has also three divisions. They are the Northwest, Pacific, and Southwest. Each division has five teams.

Eastern Conference

Eastern Conference has three separate divisions. Each of them has five sides. All the teams’ names are mentioning here.

Atlantic Division:

  • Boston Celtics - Team players number: 16, Head Coach: Bradley Kent Stevens
  • Brooklyn Nets - Team players number: 16, Head Coach: Kenny Atkinson
  • New York Knicks - Team players number: 15, Head Coach: David Fizdale
  • Philadelphia 76ers - Team players number: 17 (1-injured), Head Coach: Brett Brown
  • Toronto Raptors- Team players number: 14 (1-injured), Head Coach: Nick Nurse

Central Division:

  • Chicago Bulls - Team players number: 16 (2-injured), Head Coach: Jim Boylen
  • Cleveland Cavaliers - Team players number: 17 (2-injured), Head Coach: Larry Drew
  • Detroit Pistons - Team players number: 17, Head Coach: Dwane Casey
  • Indiana Pacers - Team players number:16 (1-injured), Head Coach: Nate McMillan
  • Milwaukee Bucks - Team players number: 16, Head Coach: Mike Budenholzer

Southeast Division:

  • Atlanta Hawks - Team players number: 15, Head Coach: Leonard Pierce
  • Charlotte Bobcats - Team players number: 15, Head Coach: James Borrego
  • Miami Heat - Team players number: 16 (1-injured), Head Coach: Erik Spoelstra
  • Orlando Magic - Team players number: 17 (3- injured), Head Coach: Steve Clifford

Western Conference:

There is a total of 15 NBA teams in the Western Conference.

Northwest Division:

  • Denver Nuggets - Team players number: 17 (1-injured), Head Coach: Michael Malone
  • Minnesota Timberwolves - Team players number: 17, Head Coach: Ryan Saunders
  • Oklahoma City Thunder - Team players number: 17 (2- injured), Head Coach: Billy Donovan

Southwest Division:
