It has two steps for cleaning. First cleaning the golf club heads and then cleaning the golf club shafts and grips. Before starting, we have to know about the different golf club heads because different types require other cleaning methods.
Different types of golf club head:
- Irons golf club heads.

- Wooden golf club heads.
Methods of cleaning golf club heads (irons)
For cleaning iron golf club heads, you have to follow some steps. These are-
Step 1: Mix some dish soap in warm water in a bucket: Add some warm water into a bucket that will cover the full club head. Use warm water, not hot. Because hot water will damage your golf club, then add some liquid soap into the water. Must use dish soap because it is soft. Now mix them well.
Step 2: Drowned the club heads into the water for few minutes: For cleaning the dirt from the heads of the club, you need to sink the club heads for some time. If there have a moderate mud or clay, then submerged the club heads for five minutes or if the trash is too much, then drowned the iron club heads for more than 10 minutes into the water. Must notice that the ferrules (the small ring that locks up the shafts with the clubhead) are above the water. If not, then pour some water.
Step 3: Clean the grooves: After socking the club heads for a few minutes, pick off the club and scrub them with a soft frame brush one by one. You can also use a toothbrush or vegetable brush, but a soft frame brush will be best for this task. Never use an electric brush because it will damage the club's face and then the club will not perform typically. First, clean the front, then the back and then the top and the bottom. Follow this sequence, and you will get a good result.
Step 4: Rinse the clubhead with clean water: After scrubbing the clubhead, use fresh water. If there seems any dirt, then rub it again. Then again, wash it with clean water. Remember that the ferrules must not get wet.
Step 5: Wiped out the clubhead with a dry, clean, and soft towel: After removing the dirt, wipe the club's head with a soft cloth properly. You can polish the clubhead with chrome polish or steel for better results, but you have to follow the polishing instruction. If you are using an artificial iron golf club, then use a soft nylon brush for cleaning.

Cleaning metal-wood golf club heads
The process of cleaning the metal-wood golf club head is quite different from the iron club head. Though it is rare to find a metal wood golf club nowadays, some old golf clubs are metal wooden. This type of clubs has a metal plate on the heads. And you can't soak metal wood golf club into the water. The processes are given below-
Step 1: Take some warm water and dish soap into a bucket: Add some lukewarm water and dish soap (depends on how many clubs you want to clean) in a bucket and mix them properly.
Step 2: Use a wet cloth or a brush for cleaning: After mixing the soap and water properly, dip the golf club into the water, drown it immediately and then scrub the clubhead with a soft brush or wet cloth carefully. But damp cloth is not enough to clean up the dirt from the grooves properly, so it's better to use a smooth brush for cleaning the tracks. I am repeating this process until the club cleaned adequately.
Step 3: Use a dry soft towel for wiping: After cleaning the dirt, wipe out the club's head immediately; otherwise, it will damage the club heads. You can also polish the metal wood clubs after drying but must follow the instructions on the label.
Cleaning wooden golf club heads
At present, wooden golf clubs are scarce because they are fragile and breakable. But if you have wooden golf clubs, then you can follow these processes for cleaning the clubs. The cleaning method is different from the above two methods. The steps are as follows-
Step 1: Mix some dish soap in warm water properly. The water must be lukewarm; otherwise, it will damage your golf club.
Step 2: Take a soft wet cloth. Dip the fabric into the water. Please don't submerge the golf club into the water or other liquids, it can be damaged from inside and break. Then clean the club heads smoothly with the cloth. Don't use a brush, and do not scrub the wooden golf club.
Step 3: At last, wipe out the club with a soft towel immediately after cleaning. If you want, you can polish a wooden golf club with a wood wax, but you must follow the instructions.
Wooden golf club gets damaged easily, so it needs some extra protection. So, you have to cover the golf club heads. But before wrapping, make sure that the clubs are clean. Iron and metal wood golf club don't need such protection, but you can cover the club heads if you want.
Cleaning the golf club shaft
If the golf club shaft is steel, then cleaning it is the most straightforward task, but if it is a graphite shaft, you have to be very careful while cleaning. A graphite shaft needs more care. Steps are as follows-
Step 1: For cleaning the steel shaft, you can use a cloth. But while cleaning the graphite shaft, you need to be more careful because they covered with the polyurethane, which is weak and can easily damage.
Step 2: For cleaning the graphite shaft, apply some vinegar to the pot and wipe it with a soft cloth. Remove all the dust slowly. Please don't use any brush for this task, and don't scrub it. Because brush can damage the polyurethane coating, and then the golf club will not perform smoothly.
Step 3: After cleaning the graphite shaft properly, you can use high-quality furniture wax for polishing the post. It is necessary to keep the shine of the graphite. But before polishing, must follow the instructions.
Step 4: Replace the graphite shaft if you notice any hole or groove in it. Do it immediately. Otherwise, it will be snapped at the time of playing and can causes injury. This replacement is not necessary for steel shaft. You can protect the graphite shaft from damage by using an extended cover.
Cleaning the grips
Cleaning the golf club grips is the most important task because it gets dirty quickly. And if you don't clean it regularly, then you won't be able to use it comfortably. Now I'm going to share some steps that will help you clean the golf club's grips correctly.

Step 2: Don't soak the grips into water. Collects the soap suds with a soft wet cloth and scrub the grips smoothly with the towel. Wipe out the grips immediately. Repeat this till the grips cleaned adequately.
Step 3: Dry the grips properly. Don't leave a single drop of water with the grips.
